Design and realization of a large mural on an exterior wall.

Primary school De Kleine Icarus (Little Icarus) (Gent).

In 2005 Emilie made two wall paintings for primary school ‘De Ledeganck’ (Gent). In 2007 the school changed its educational system and director, who renamed the school ‘De Kleine Icarus’ (Little Icarus) after Emilie’s mural of a little boy with enormous wings. The children in the new school adopted this figure as ‘their’ Little Icarus, and invented his story. Emilie made a third mural on the exterior wall of the school, illustrating this story. In time, the goal is to fill the complete wall (80m) with drawings. (2008)
